Hello Blackbird Families!
Happy February! - Boy oh boy January was looooonnngggg! We are now onto the month of warmth and love and friendship and kindness!
A few things happening this month at Assikinack!
Fundraisers in Progress
Friendship Bracelets are for sale at school and will be delivered to students on Friday February 13.
Our Mitchell’s Soup Fundraiser is still going strong.
Red, Pink and White
We are having our Red, Pink and White Dance on Thursday February 12! Snacks and treats are available for sale both on School CashOnline and at the dance. (Please note: Treats are peanut free/nut free!) Dress in your RED, PINK AND WHITE!
Winter Olympics Day
Winter Olympics Day is Friday February 13! Students will be going outside to have some frosty competition! Looking forward to a great day! Hot Chocolate will be served as well!
Pink Shirt Day!
International Pink Shirt Day is February 25, 2026! Stand up to Bullying and wear ANYTHING Pink!
Kindergarten Registration
Don’t forget to register your little one for Kindergarten on the SCDSB website! Stay tuned for our Assikinack Welcome to Kindergarten Event coming in May! Date to be announced soon!
Term 1 Reports
Students have been working hard this term! Great things are happening in classrooms! Term 1 Reports are coming home on Friday February 13, 2026!
Grade 8 Families- Grade 8 Swag!
We are hoping for all Grade 8 parents to purchase a Grade 8 Swag sweater for their graduate! Please reach out to us if you need some support with this! We want all students to be able to design and wear their own unique hoodie, being a Grade 8 grad is a big deal!
