Welcome to Kindergarten Event 🖍️
We are so excited to welcome our newest Blackbirds to Assikinack on Wednesday May 20, from 4:00 - 5:15 for our Welcome to Kindergarten Orientation! If you know of any little ones that should be registering for Junior Kindergarten, send them our way! 🐦⬛
EQAO - Grades 3 - 6 Assessment May 19 - 22 - 💻
We are looking forward to this week as our Grade 3 and 6 students are getting ready to complete the EQAO Assessment!
Kidney Clothes Fundraiser! 👕
A new Kidney Clothes Fundraiser is underway! Drop off any items at the school to donate! You can donate linens, towels, blankets, belts, purses etc. More information to follow soon!
Spring Emergency Drills
As we move through the next few weeks, we will be practicing our emergency drills, this includes at least 3 Fire Drills, an Evacuation drill, a Severe Weather Drill/Shelter in Place due to Weather, and a Shelter in Place/Hold and Secure and Lockdown Drill. Students will have preparation for these in advance, as we know that some students get anxious. These are just for practice! - but you may hear about these at home at night.

Parking Lot reminders:
Please just a reminder as weather is nicer - there are more walkers and more bikers coming to and from school. Please proceed through the parking lot with extra care.
